Email Address Privacy

The final question in the survey examined changing the state law that requires the Town to give the email addresses of Cary citizens to third parties if they ask for it and if the Town has a record of it.  The respondents were asked if they would be supportive of the Town seeking a change in the state law to allow citizen email addresses to be kept private from third parties.  Table 74 shows a very high level of support for Cary to seek a change in the law.  There were 87.7% of the respondents in favor of changing the law with only 2.8% opposed and 9.6% not sure.
